FILM SCREENING & AWARDS CEREMONY RESULTS

During the 2008 - 2009 school year, several Birmingham City high school students from Jackson Olin High, Ramsay High, Woodlawn High and Huffman High participated in the Educational Arts Corporation’s Filmmaking 101 program. Through the program, students worked with professional filmmakers, wrote, produced, and edited a short documentary about a variety of teen related issues and school topics. On Saturday, May 9, 2009, students from these four high schools competed for top documentary prizes. Below are the results of the competition.

For the second year in a row, Huffman High School took the Best Documentary Overall award for the film "Tales of the Grapevine" which addressed gossip in schools.
